2008 VLX Draft?

I am looking into buying some lakefront property. One of the concerns that I have is that the water is quite shallow off the shore and I don't want to need a 100' dock just so I can pull my BU up to it. The research that I have done so far shows me that the draft on my 2008 Wakesetter VLX is 24". This just doesn't seem like enough water to be in when including the depth of prop and rudder. Can anyone confirm or provide me with some more solid info as to safe water depths that I can pull into? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure all of the draft specs are for the boat without fuel, people, etc. On top of that, you'd want to have a bit of a safety margin beyond the draft of the boat.

Is the bottom muddy or rocky near the dock?
