VLX vs LSV

It sounds like regardless of resell value, if I can get the LSV at the same price as the VLX, the LSV in itself is a better bet. Now I just need to decide if the 17 upgrades are worth giving up the 16 end of your pricing.   Just waiting on more information about the stereo upgrades that took place in 17 and then will make decision.

I'm kind of in the same boat! Ha! ?

It seems like there is a pattern here with malibu oem stereos, they are always replaced.  Hopefully the new 17's will be much better.  I still can't believe with all the boats rolling off the line at Malibu the stereo installers are taking extra time to tune and double check everything like a professional shop would do.

Countless posts on here about connectivity problems, engine noise, volume delays, etc...and fiddling with that 7" screen sounds miserable all the time.  So much easier with an EQ that will easily allow you to fade/tune your system how you prefer.

You can use the savings of a stereo delete towards a more custom install and really design something that sounds good.  Nothing worse than having a stereo that does not work right on the water.

I still don't get the gear ratio thing, prop the boat correctly and you will be fine either way.

Also, I was told if you ordered a sound pack with a sub they use a 1400 watt 6 channel for in boats and sub. Tower uses a 2 channel 800 watt setup. Anyone have an idea what amps those might be?

Sounds like the Syn-DX6 and Syn-DX2, but the DSP versions.
