I don't have a tower on my boat but will sometime for in the future for the kids. This tower is smooth and classy looking. I could picture it on my boat and I think the wife could live with it knowing it was for the kids. What model is it? Can they still be found? Quality/stiffness? Cost est?

Generally people don't differentiate the two- they use illusion and illusion x (ix) interchangeably; however, there is the illusion x and the illusion xs.  The one in the picture is the illusion x.  I'd say its more common than the xs.

there was the original Illusion tower in 2003, Made out of tubular Stainless by then titan.

In 2004 they released the Illusion X which is what's pictured, built by Metcraft. In 2008 they tried to make the XS look more edgy and spawned the XS.

The G3 came out in 2010 when Malibu bought Titan, and took it in house.
