2012 MXZ Ballast Issues

MalibuReady

Recommended Posts

We've been out all week and have started noticing the following;

1.) The front ballast is filling to the point of raising the front cushion and then it slowly drains over time to sit flat again. Maybe even to the point of not full.

2.) The center stock ballast isn't registering. I can't tell if it's full, half full or empty.

Any suggestions on what's going on?

My MXZ does the same in the front. It only lifts slightly. Not enough to worry me. When I put the bow bag on top of the cushions, it does seem to push some water out once under away. It's not much though. I thought about putting a check valve in, but not sure if they'll hold up to all of the weight/pressure from the bow bag being on top of the tank. I'm sure others will chime in with a solution, it's just never made enough of an impact for me to look further into it. In regards to the center ballast readings, check the wires on the tank to make sure they haven't come apart. Start there and work your way back through the system.
