17 22 MXZ

My dealer just got one in as well.  Had a chance to poke around a bit and I was really impressed!  Never really gave the MXZ any consideration but I will when I upgrade!

I stopped by my local dealer and they had a 17 22 MXZ sitting on the showroom floor so I decided to check out every nook/crannie. I can tell you that I was not a huge fan of the previous 22MXZ but I am very surprised with how well they put this boat together. The cabin room was more than sufficient for my family and we do have a few kiddos. It seemed maybe 5-6 in shorter in the cabin area but was so well laid out that I am now considering this boat along with the 23 LSV. I will report back my opinions on the wakeboard and surf wake next week after I demo.

My phone was full and not able to snap any photos. I wil get pics and photos when I demo.

Ouch...that is a number!  I didn't realize it would go for that much more then a VLX?  Regardless of price I really liked the bow area with the arm rests.  I also really liked the anchor locker and bow ladder.  Those are two things I do miss from my I/O.  The anchor locker just makes it easier to stow and deploy the anchor.  I'm also not sure I like the walk through from the swim platform.  I thought I would miss it when I got the VLX but the wife and kids enjoy laying out on it as I clean the boat...lol. Regardless, it's still a contender in my upgrade dreams!

The MXZ has always been a touch more, than traditional bow.  The 22 has always been priced similar to 23 LSV and 24 is close to 25 LSV.

Good to know when I need to spin the sales pitch to the wife!

The walk thru is a big plus for us as we are constantly back an forth switching riders.

Should be demoing a 17 22 MXZ towards the end of the month...stoked.  Hoping the wakeboard and surf wakes are at the same caliber as my 22VLX or better...really liking the layout of the MXZ.  I'm very fond of my VLX, sure would be hard to let it go...my favorite boat ever by far.

I am also very interested in this boat, please keep the details coming.  And does anyone have a spec on garage clearance with G3.5 tower folded and G4 folded on a Malibu trailer with standard alum wheels?  I can't seem to find anything on the website.

My '17 22MXZ just came in, so I'll be working her out a bit on Sunday and Monday.

If you guys have any questions, or anything you want me to answer, just list it out here and I'll try and check back after I have some hours behind the wheel, behind the platform and 80' behind the boat.

Cheers

Is there anything like this available on the West Coast that you are aware of?  Great idea.... would really be cool to se multiple boats on the same day.
