Has anyone tried the Acme 15x11 and 15x10.5 props?

Has anyone tried the Acme  15x11 or the  15x10.5" props?  Right now I have the 2315 (15x12 .105cup) on my boat and I'm thinking about buying the (15x10.5 .105 cup).  I'm sure it will surf more weight but I'm wondering what 3500rpm cruise will be or how high the RPMs will be wake boarding at 22.5mph.   Right now I am at 3800-3900 with the 2315 when wake boarding.  For the ACME number guys - this is the 2949 and 2951.

I've got a refurb 2315 that picked up for a steal that is currently in the shop being turned in to a 2949 (15 x 11 .105).

I'm running a '15 23 LSV with the 350 engine at either sea level or 1950' and I believe I'm cavitating at 3400 RPMs with 830 lbs in bow, mid & MLS full, and wakemakers "max capacity" (~1000 lb/ea)  in the rear lockers. I can't get past 11.5 MPH with any amount of throttle, so if the 11" pitch doesn't help I'm going to have to get someone with a laptop and a MEFI reader out on the boat with me to figure out where my torque is going. The weird part is not being able to get past 3400-3600 RPM when loaded, but getting to ~5000 RPM unloaded. There is something going on that I don't understand, but hope the lower pitch prop will help address the situation.

I hope to have the 2949 spec prop this week and test this coming weekend; I'll report back as soon as I test it.

That rpm is where your torque peak is with that engine.  It also appears to be the load that is presented to your engine with that prop, at surf speed with ballast  So it's unable rev any high (where it's making more horsepower) because the torque is falling off at higher rpm's. It takes"x" amount of torque to spin a prop at a particular rpm and this number increases with rpm.  The torque of your engine is falling in this rpm range and about 3500rpm is where these lines cross.

In addition to lessening the pitch to reduce the load, you can also reduce the diameter.

I have both the 2937 15x11 & the 2951 15x10.5.  Both have no problem pushing the 5400 pounds I run & I also run a deep V hull which isn't as efficient as the flat bottom boats.  I typically run at 4400'.  With the 2937 prop I was at a constant 3700 rpm's surfing 11.2mph.  Top end was about 28mph.  I switched the 2951 prop (15x10.5) & the RPM's dropped to about 3550 at 11.2mph & top end 30mph.  Here's where it gets odd, when we go up to the higher elevation lakes, 5100' & 5500' the rpm's drop to 3400 when it should go up?  I know for a fact the 2315 & the 2419 did not do the job on this boat cause the previous owner had both, he now runs the 2937 & wants to try my 2951 but we have not been able to hook up this summer.   If the 2315 isn't getting it done for you, just get the 2951 and be done with it.  Nettles in TX stocks the 2951 .

I should note I have the 6.0L engine & my RPM's are where I should be at for surfing based on discussions with Indmar & Acme

Ive been eye balling those props also. I have the 330hp indmar, and the 2315 still isnt enough. I can put a ton a weight in the front to the point the bow is about to take on water and still cant get to wakeboard speeds. I gets hung up at about 14mph and wont do much else.

Weight wise I use 900s in the rear, stock hard tanks, the bow sack which probably fills to about 400. Plus another 200 in lead in the bow. When wakeboarding I will do about half the bags full in the rear, but still struggles when I have a larger crew. Wedge is no-go. Which sucks because the wedge shapes the wake the way we like it.

I want to email acme, but I dont know my top speed and rpm right now. I do know last weekend I was running 23mph at about 3700rpm.

Next time im getting a bigger motor!

I'm able to plain out with a 2419 with a setup similar to yours including the wedge. Even at 2000 feet.

Small crew though.

I want to try the 2419 but I don't want to deal with it if it isn't enough. Debating to get the 2419 or like racer said just be done with it and get the 2951.

I recently switched to the 2937 and could not be happier. Came from 2419. Actually have 2 of the 2419s and will convert 1 to the 2951 to see how it performs. I have a 2013 23 LSV and run 4000 lbs plus 5-6 people and the 2937 runs 3600rpm at 11.2 mph for surfing and 3900 at 22 for wakeboarding. Fits the monsoon 350 with 1.5/1 trans. Great combo.. Cruise at 24 at 3700 rpm.

You're gonna love the 2951, same power as the 2937 & it will drop the RPM's 150-200 or so.

I need to check my tach for accuracy. I surf at 2900 RPM at 11 with the 2419. But a smaller and lighter boat than @mattpoland

I just got a call from the shop working on my prop; it won't be ready until at least Tuesday of next week and then I'm off at a tradeshow the following week and then some. I won't be able to report back on a 2949 for a few weeks...

Sea level you still need a 2419 or better for big loads of ballast(A20 rated 3800 including full fuel) wedge and lots of people, wakeboarding with that load you can't even plane out with 1235 snd it struggles with speed for surfing even if you load the nose , next year 2419 and two straight line 150's for lowering my nose and lengthening wave , running 950 front mushroom in locker 850 rears and then a bunch if people and a stupid size wave, my goofy is huge now with just driver, add those 2 150's to regular side and that will be just as big as goofy and its big now
