Recommended Posts

jbjcrash

My boat got rained on while covered and I removed my cover and my vinyl is stained pinkish red. My factory cover is black.

What at happened and how can I clean it.

Let it sit in the sun for a day or two...you'd be surprised how much that will help.

Edit:  With the cover off, I mean.

Thanks. I am freaking out. Is the vinyl just wet?

The sun will cure it.  Mine does the same thing after alot of rain.  Leave it uncovered in the sun and let it dry out.

Many have come before you on this one. I remember the panic I felt.

Just wait, if it hasn't already at some point you will think that your vinyl is on an acid trip! I have odd colored spots, streaks and blotches in places that no one has ever seen much less spilled anything on. I have just learned to live with it, my OCD be damned!

the sun will get rid of it but it will come back every time the cover is put on so get used to a huge stomach dropping "ohsh*t" moment every time you uncover her

Mine does it where the cover touches the vinyl. It only takes a few hours of direct sunlight for it to go away.
