2013 LSV w/Surfgate wakesurf setup findings

This may be old news to everyone, but after three seasons of messing around with the setup I finally got it dialed-in and wanted to post in case anyone else is having issues/questions.  I've always been able to have a good goofy wave, but the port left a little to be desired.  In the end, I found slightly smaller rear ballast and slight listing made all the difference...  Here was the final setup that seemed to have the best combo on the regular side, and seemed to keep the goofy side as good as ever... with only driver in the boat.  Results vary with a crowd!

350 monsoon

2315 prop

only 250's in the rear locker PNP on top of the stock hard tanks

400lb sac centered on left seat

160lb lead in bow, 120lb on the left, 40 on the right

Wedge at either 50% or 66% (full, or slightly down) depending on steeper vs. longer pref

10.8-11.2 depending on preference of steeper/vs. longer

This setup got rid of the double lip entirely, put a nice curl on the wave, made it steep, long, powerful, clean.  Almost as good as the goofy side itself.  I know it seems strange to not have the larger rear locker sacks, but the larger rears seemed to need so much compensation up front and didn't and the wave seemed way better slightly listed with the weight in the center.

Anyway - with this setup it feels very, very similar to my old Enzo 23 which had a sick regular wave.

I think it was great just out of the box - but great is never good enough...  I was trying to replicate an Enzo wave (which is pretty epic on port side), with the ease of switching sides of surfgate.  I'd say close to mission accomplished!
