Engine noise

I have my 08 Malibu parked in a covered slip.

just bought the boat 2 months ago and have only replaced batteries.

we had a pretty good rain the other day that must have been coming in sideways because the inside of boat was wet. I've never had any trouble out of stereo until the rain, now I am getting some engine noise thru the tower speakers. 

The eq looked like it might have gotten a little water but nothing crazy. It is right side of steering wheel below dash

Setup is as follows

aux cord to WS-420

420 to 4 amps 

amps to speakers

 

any idea where I should start hunting for the buzzing noise

Try a new aux cord and/or make sure the sound level on the iPhone (or whatever device) is turned up all the way to max.

If water is suspected, id remove the power harness, dismount the EQ and open it up. Would not want to power it up again with moisture in it.
