Scarpa Suppression Plate - remove it ?

Recommended Posts

Jens

I own a 2003 Response Barefooter 375 Hammerhead.

The Scarpa Suppression plate is on the boat.

If I want the boat to go faster shall I then remove the plate ?  anyone ?

Can I close the plate, I mean is it possible to vertical the plate ?  so it does not touch the water. Have tried but not managed.

We only wakeboard sometimes, never barefoot,...

I am from Denmark so hope you understand my english.

Have a nice day

won't take much to remove the scarpa plate to see what that does to your top speed but i doubt it will have much impact.

welcome to the crew and relax, your english is better than mine.

Hi there Jens.

The supression plate realy won't hinder your speed but will hinder your boat to some degree to

sink at the stern for creating a defined  wake at a defined speed with blast.

You may just want to take it off all togeather,  and should you be interested in selling,

touch bases with Duchmalibu here on the forum, hes a avid barefooter and lives in Waspik Netherlands and

might be interested in the Scarpa Plate.  Just a thought if your wanting to sell.

Jens, When the SSP is setup for footing, It will affect your top end by a few mph.

I'd just remove it.
