Problem Escalation Advice

Recommended Posts

All,

I need some advice on where to escalate issues with a new boat, it’s an 2016 LSV.  We purchased the boat from a satellite location from a dealer who’s about 4-5 hours away.  When we got it, it sat outside for over 8 months.  In that time, it went through several major snow storms and a hail storm.

Since we got the boat we’ve had several issues (most have been resolved through TMC, Thanks @sabrerider)

We do have one lingering problem that hasn’t been resolved.  It’s an engine issue and it should be covered under warranty.  It looks like it’s an O2 Sensor.

The issue is that the location we bought the boat doesn’t have a mechanic.  The service mechanic has no relationship with the dealership.  We’ve been trying to get the boat fixed for 3 weeks with no progress.  My question is, where should I escalate to get this resolved?  The home dealership or Malibu?  I’ve gotten no satisfaction from either the satellite dealer or the service shop.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

When I had an O2 sensor issue I took it to a local, authorize, Indmar service dealer. Instead of dragging the boat 1.5 hours each way.

This - any Indmar service dealer can provide warranty work on the engine/trans/v-drive
