Button Under Seat

My buddy recently acquired a 2002 Sunsetter and we found a black spring loaded button under the seat. It's on the back left hand corner.  Can't figure out what it does!!

well push it and find out! lol

I knew that was coming soon as I posted lol!  First thing we did of course!! Its spring loaded, doesn't click or lock down, just springs back and forth. Any fancy seat options it could be associated with that he doesn't have??

Follow the wire and see if you find a box under the dash that it is attached to.  Could be part of an old course timer system

Believe it is lumbar support. Mine has the same although I don't think mine works

It's like an air pump supposed to pump it up

Correct. I don't think mine ever worked either, even when new.

Thanks for the replies. No wire, we were thinking lumbar support too  but not functioning - maybe it's an option that gets the button but not the guts??

it is a knob,  Maybe broken off?  turn it clockwise or counterclockwise.  Amazingly mine still functions, although I never mess with it.
