engine fault check transmission alarm

Hey guys and gals, I am new to the "Bu" family, just bought a 2008 Vride with 116 hrs on it about 4 weeks ago. Boat has been perfect for the 50ish hours we have put on it in that time. Saturday we jumped in, idled to middle of lake to fill sacs and I got an engine alarm then check transmission of my display. I shut down, checked fluids, (ie. transmission, it was full, not cloudy, did not appear  to have water in it) so we motored around the lake a little, The boat is running/shifting fine.... runs like a new.... but every time I turn switch off and then start up again, I get the fault code.... any ideas?

engine temp, oil pressure, voltage are all good..... I have a sneaky suspicion that its just a sensor on the tranny that is sending a faults code.... anyone know where any sensors are located???
