Surf Preset Issues

Just got back from surfing today and experienced a few issues with the Preset Surf Left.   The surf gate would not open consistently and the zero off had trouble maintaining the set speed.  Anyone else experience anything like this?  Ideas?

On occasion my surfgate on a 2016 23lsv has not opened, so I just shut down the motor and turned of the battery. I just did a reset and it seemed to solve the problem.
