Finishing a Ballast mod

I recently finished installing a 1500 lbs ballast system. It is incredible, but has one slight problem. When only two go out and (1 in the boat, and 1 boarding) I do get some porpoising (5 osolations) when I hit a wave.

I beleive that 100 lbs of weight in the bow of the boat will take care of it. My thought would be 4, 25 lb bags of lead shot. These bags could go in the fery front laid up under the running light.

Anyone have a source for this or a better idea?

Ok, but What is a pop bag?? and where did you get the lead shot?? The only site that I have found is www.McMaster-Carr.com The want $50 bucks for 25lbs. This is rediculous.

Is the bag permeable letting moisture in and out, or is it sealed?

Sealed bag and I paid $40/bag. Good relationship with the dealer and I paid cash.

Pop bags are awesome! Plus1.gif

After seeing these in Stu's boat at TX WOW, I ordered some for my boat as well. So far so good. I keep one near the driver so that it can be used to level the boat/ wake out.
