Speedo adjustment

Recommended Posts

I got a new to me 2002 Sunsetter recently. Runs so good !  Knock on wood. Anyway, the speedo is way off, ha. The boat does rev to around 5000 rpms, but the speedo reads like 58, lol.

The dash has a single speedometer. Off to the right on the dash are two very small buttons, "speedo" and "pickup". Pickup is a rocker switch that can go left or right. The boat has two pick-ups on the transom. Bumping the "speedo" button up or down doesn't seem to do anything. I assume that is supposed to adjust the gauge up or down.

Any help on calibrating the speedometer is much appreciated.

I am having the same problem on my 99 response, replaced a pitot an the speedometer is workin now but is 7-10 mph slow, the speed adjust toggle causes the gauge to move maybe 1 mph then it goes back to what it was reading before
