Scuff marks on rub rail

Recommended Posts

I have got alot of scuff marks on the rub rail. Probley from docking and loading. Most of them are white marks and they really stand out on the black. Does anyone know how i can get them off or cover them up ???

:cry::cry::cry: :

Get yourself some #0000 steel wool. Keep it wet while you buff out the scuff marks. Finish up with some 3M marine paste wax. Like new!

With the rail being made of rubber. Will the wax not turn it white?

I use one of these nail polish remover pads to remove scuffs, dock bumper marks, rubber residue, etc. :

It's the non-acetone variety.

Follow up with 303 Protectant.

Try Mr.Clean Magic Eraser, worked for me...

I 2nd this recommendation...we use this first then go over the area with a little Meguier's. It helps on just general scuff marks ... all you need is a little elbow grease for the harder scuffs.
