I found a tread awhile back the had the right satellite radio module for my 08 VTX , but I can't find that tread now. Not seeing a model number for the JBL black box, but I'm assuming it's OE. So I'm hoping you guys can help me.

Ok so I finally found some info on the web, saying I need a Sirius SCC1. Is there an additional box that goes in between the MBB3 and the SCC1?

Anybody out there with a JBL system and satellite radio that can take pictures or tell me if there is another box between the JBL and the SCC1?????

Has your JBL box got a connector on it labelled Sirius?  Or do you know the model number of the JBL box (should be on serial number label)  so that you can just look up a manual for it that lists the inputs?

The connector on your JBL box would be an 8 pin like this one if it is direct connect to the SCC1

Yes I have both of those connections. I've hooked it all up and gone to Sirius on the main pad, but it quickly changes to the built in storage (naud?) a second later. It seems like it's not even seeing the scc1 signal. Some other radio manufacturers have an interface in between the two, that's why I'm wondering.

Those interfaces typically do not use the same cable as the SCC1 though.

If you could find your model number you could look at the chart here and it'll tell you if you need the SCC1 or the SIR2.5 box

So I somehow fit down there? And removed the box, I have a  mbb-3.3. Found the manual on a google search, and the scc-1 should work. Either the scc-1 is no good(eBay) or the Sirius parental lock on the panel is set. Which I didn't know it had. I'll double check the pins to make sure nothing is bent.

I believe I have a SCVDOC1 I can sell you.  Hooks up/works the same way as a SCC-1 but lets you use a portable unit for your tuning instead of being built into the SCC-1.  This will allow you to use the subscription you are paying for the unit elsewhere by just getting additional docks (car, house, etc.).
