Installed Stereo now Blower and Tachometer dont work

I just bought a 2003 Wakesetter VLX. I pulled off the drivers side panel to install a new stereo and after putting it all back together the Blower and the Tachometer stopped working. The digital display works on the tach and the PP tach works just not the analog tach. There is no visible breaker button kicked. Are these two functions possibly tied together and I accidentally disconnected something behind the panel or is it purely coincidence they both went out at the same time after my stereo install? thanks everyone

Never a coincidence when two separate things go wrong after a project.  You must have detached some wires. Probably under the dash.  I think the PP takes its tach signal off the same wire as the analog tach (depends on year) so you may have interrupted power to the tach with the signal wire still intact (or broken where the PP takes the signal off if it was done with a pinch wire tap).  Re the blower, first check if you have voltage at the rocker switch.  Trace wires from blower switch and tach back to the engine compartment using a volt meter as you go.  I would start under the dash and then do all the easy spots first.  Lots of action there with all the switches.  Wire color should stay the same helm to stern. Unfortunately that throttle panel is a PITA if you have to go back in there!  An LED head lamp is a great investment if you don't already have one.

had my boat in the shop last month for a new steering cable . first trip out the water temp gauge was not working .... sure enough ,after crawling under the dash with a flash light . the wire had came undone.
