I want one of these bad. I've seen a few used for sale here locally.  Looks really fun. But can't imagine how bad a crash might be.

Crashes can get ugly. But their bad on anything, board, ski, barefoot, etc. There are ways to learn inverts safely, ie; slow the boat down, use a quick release, helmet, barefoot suit, etc. And your first inverts are usually not 58 frames high either. That takes a lot of practice to develop timing, technique, etc. At some point you start developing air sense & stop landing on your head as much. Kind of like a cat, always landing board down. Or almost always.......

I saw what looked like an earlier one for sale on Craigslist in Oklahoma for $600. I knew a guy that had one but I don't see him anymore.  I definitely want to try one.

Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Get on FoilForum.com & look around. A descent foil starts around $1500 or $2k. You can get cheaper, but then you get an old cast foil, hard landing seat, old technology wings, etc.
