2010 lsv 247 stereo issues

Ok guys, so I just bought a 2010 lsv 247 that has stereo issues. It has a jbl mbb3.45 radio. 3 Rockford fosgate amp. 1 for sub, 1 for tower speakers and one for boat speakers. Issue 1-Tower speakers have a popping sound with no radio sound. So I just disconnected the speakers to the amp. Issue 2- when you first turn on radio (90% of the time) sub and boat speakers sound great for a while then they get staticky. After that happens for a few they turn completely off and back on.. Everything is totally random times. The sub stays on all the time. To me it sounds like a loose wire so I've checked for that and tapped stereo but nothing changes. It's almost like the stereo gets hot and starts with issues. Also sometimes it turns to iPod all by itself. I can switch back to radio and it switches back to iPod mode.

Has anyone had these issues before or something similar?

FYI I ordered the upgraded model jbl mbb2120 radio and a new amp for the tower speakers . Should be here next week.

Thanks Louis

There is a section of the site just for stereo issues.  The moderators will likely move it over there soon.

I wonder if the amps are cutting out because they sense low voltage?  Check the voltage at the amplifier.

Being a new boat to you, do you know if the boat has ever been the victim of water damage?
