PerfectPass Kx Setting

Recommended Posts

Ok, I know what the Kx setting does and can feel a difference between a Kx Normal and a Kx -, which I usually run at. But what I would like to know is how a different Kx setting can effect course times. I don't have a smart timer, so I haven't been able to play with it, but I would guess that if you run with a Kx - that you probably have to add some addition RPM's to get good times.

Is that correct?

On a side note, I've noticed that I like a Kx - when skiing behind my boat or an MC or I feel like I'm just getting hammered, but with a CC I like a Kx normal. Any comments on that?

Thanks,

Mike

Since you guys were no help whatsoever :) I shot an email to PP and got the following response:

Hi,

No, the times are unchanged. The Kx is how aggressively the system responds to the pull from the skier. This is a very slight difference in actual power and this is translated into speed by the skier.

Thank You,

Aaron

Not sure I understand how changing how agressively power is applied could not effect full course times, but they're the experts.

I went to perfect pass' website and there are a couple of owner's manuals and other downloads that offered additional info that was not included with the hardcopy of my owner's manual....you just have to wade through it.
