Best way to store skis/boards in new garage?

After a year of building and some great tips from TMC, we are finished and moved into our new house.  The boat has its own garage bay and it is time to figure out gear storage.  I'm going to do a long board with hooks on one wall to hang jackets but would like to get the skis and boards off the floor and on a wall.  Tried searching the forums without much luck.  Any suggestions on wall racks?  DYI or something worth while on the market?

This is what I purchased: http://www.storeyourboard.com/wood-wakeboard-rack-4-board-wall-rack/

I like them, but they could easily be made by someone who is a little bit handy with tools.

Originally I wanted these: http://www.storeyourboard.com/wakeboard-rack-garage-storage.html  but they ran out of them last year.

Decent products for the price, it would have taken me a while to make my own, so in the interest of time and the relative low cost, I just bought some.

Built mine out of 2x4's.  Two vertical and then the racks are cut at a 45 and screwed in from the back.  Works for surfboards wakeboards knee boards and skis.  Cheap easy and quick.

Built this out of standard PVC pipe and connectors.  Went together super fast and works like a champ.  just put a screw through the PVC pipe into the wall, preferably a stud behind the wall.

I built a loft above our boat in the garage. I'll try to snap pics when I'm done. It's great for getting everything out of the boat easily...plus I store all my other crap up there.

I have a rock built out of mostly scrap wood I mounted in the storagend closet on the dock. I'll get pictures this weekend when I'm down there.

I used the cheap utility hook from Home Depot and bent them down at an angle. Four pair of hooks holds 4 boards. The bottom has a 3/4" Rod that holds life jackets. Smaller hooks are mounted on the outside to hold ropes.

I'm the OP, not sure how I got logged in under an old account of mine, must have not been thinking when I posted.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  Looks like building something is the way to go.  I like the idea of buying something ready to go, but honestly they don't look any better than the home made ones and home made is a fraction of the cost.  @jetskipro550 we have a loft area in another part of the garage and love it for storing the not often used items like Christmas decorations, but I don't think that is what I want above the boat.  I want to be able to quickly and easily grab gear and go.

2 X 4 s and Dow rods.

Dowels were my first choice and used them on my first go round.  Glued them in and screwed in from back.  Walked out one morning and the top dowel had broke all boards ended up falling and one hit the sun deck on my old supra.  2" rip in it.  If you go the dowel route make sure they are BIG and secured well.

2x4s only.  I lagged the flat piece into the wall and then came back with the framing nail gun and shot the 2 nails in with the "racks" on an angle.  I normally go for overly complicated, but this was simple, cheap and easy.  I happened to have the boards already stained from a different project, so it doesn't look too bad either.

Not sure whether you have the same in the USA, but here in Australia we have a chain called Bunnings.  Here is the link to the parts.

This is the plate ($26) and I simply cut it into pieces, and screwed them through the gyprock into a stud to mount these on to:

http://www.bunnings.com.au/storease-20cm-loop-hook_p2580032

$16 per mount

For the skis I used these:

mounted on full length rails above

Both work really well!
