Cabin speaker locations that the driver can actually hear

Following on from some comments in another thread it appears that I am not the only one who can't hear the stereo in the drivers seat without blasting others out of the boat with the current speaker locations/orientations.

I have seen shawndoggy's solution for his wakesetter, has anyone else come up with a solution?

just for the record I have the 4 8s in the cabin and 2 6.5s in the bow.

In addition to a location thats closer and more direct to the captains chair, I would consider 2 additional amp chnls that would allow you to gain-balance them for that position. 180* opposite of dash mounted speakers than need to be dialed back due to their advantage.
