Given a choice, a chick prefers to hang out on a V drive than on a D drive. I noticed this 2 years ago and verified it with further study last year. At our annual 4th of July flotilla, I always bring the VLX and that's where all the girls end up. Innocent.gif

Sounds pretty scientific folks, I guess the VD's have it. Tongue.gif

:) No, that belongs to a buddy. You can get great bong-beer velocity though if you float in the water and hold the hose with one hand and the platform with another while a tall individual stands on the sunpad and pours. Beer.gif

They like it when you can fit a keg in the storage locker, lol... As for v-drive versus direct drive, I have had the same number of girls in each. It isn't the boat, it is how obnoxious my friends act that decides who comes and doesn't!

We love the DD! It's a blast to drive! Maybe this year we will try a bat turn? Haven't been able to get myself to do that to my baby yet. :blush:

I am originally from WI. I am going to take the high road and not add to the teeth comment. Innocent.gif

I think the key issue here is that the large rear sundeck is an irresitable force to those who want to "lay out" and get some sun. The wrap around seeting also makes it easier to "chat" with everybody while the boat is underway especially since the engine in the rear makes it quieter.

However, I love my V-drive for one reason only and that is the Wake for boarding and surfing. Were I more into slalom skiing like most of my buddies I would love the Direct Drive more for the opposite reason.

That being said, Chicks dig the V-Drive*

*Unless they are slalom skiing chicks

Back when CD's came out people kept saying old-school vinyl records were the best too. Now where are they. ;)

DD = Analog

VD = Digital

LOL, actually they're still around. Talk to a true audiophile about it, they'll tell you that lps actually have a better, warmer sound to them.

Besides, if you're a hard-core slalom person that runs the course frequently or more, there is no real choice in the matter. And regardless of what anyone says, skiing is not a dead sport. Take a look at how many skiing-specific threads are going right now in the Watersports forum. This past weekend I saw as many skiers on the lake as I did boarders, it was refreshing to see.

I think V drives are great, and built for a purpose, as are DDrive boats. With all the crossover boats now adays and the size and price of v drive models, I think the DD has the edge in performance, versatility, and price. comfort, space, and wakeboarding; v drive boats have it hands down, but since I'm a skier at heart, a v drive will never be my primary boat... so until I can afford 2 boats, I'll be lookin at a sweet little 20 footer.
