Switch off Touch Screens / Accessory Mode

Hello - We have just gotten our first Malibu ('16 23 LSV) and I have been using all the great info on here to help get used to the new boat.

Question - Does anybody know how to turn both of the touch screens off "accessory mode" while leaving the stereo on?  We always spend a lot of time just hanging out on the boat swimming and it just seems that I should be able to turn the screens off leaving the stereo on.   My dealer said he didn't think you could do this but it seems like to big of an oversight to just have to leave the screens on for what could be hours.    I don't see anything in the manual on this.

Also, one time after shutting the engine off I was able to press the pwr button and the screens went off but left stereo on.  I have since not be able to duplicate this.

Anybody with a '15 or '16 have any idea or experience with this.

Thanks

The 7" display is a full blown windows computer that runs the whole boat. If you want to just run the stereo you need to do some rewiring (as @MLA indicated) to turn on the black box, but unless you have a secondary remote/display for the stereo (or leave it in bluetooth mode) you're not going to be able to see/control anything.

I'd suggest that you leave the boat electronics on and engine off, but switch to a single battery (1 or 2, not 1+2) and run the stereo that way. Once you're ready to go, switch to the opposite battery or 1+2 (so the stereo use battery charges). I don't recall a "hang out mode" for the electronics, but I could be mistaken.
