Recommended Posts

Boat fresh from storage.  Dealer updated software.  LCD stereo power button will not turn on radio.  Have to use transom power button for on/off.

Sounds like a loose connection to me. The LCD is a pseudo-remote that uses a Rockford Fosgate remote link cable to send signals to the RFX-6000 "black box". Check for a loose cable either at the black box or under the dash. My guess is the loose cable will be under the dash and plugged in to the back of the 7" display. It may be that it's got some light corrosion on it from humidity and it may just take unplugging/replugging to get it working. I think the cable you're looking for is a 5 pin DIN (old-old school keyboard/midi cable) or a 5-7 pin DIN (PS2 mouse/keyboard or s-video cable). I don't think the Rockford Fosgate manual says anything about the pins, so if unplugging/replugging doesn't fix it someone on TMC will have to crawl under the dash to look for you.
