Plasti Dip windshield frame?

I'm interested in possibly using white Plasti Dip on my windshield frame so it will match the white tower but am concerned about the cover rubbing on it.  Has anyone tried this or have enough experience with Plasti Dip to know if it would quickly wear off and look bad?

If the cover will rub on it, then it'll rub it off.

And it'll look dirty up until it rubs off and splits.

They are black for a reason.  A white frame would add to the glare of the sunlight.

Its been done. I for one think it looks really sharp.  You don't have to do the entire frame in and out.  Also noted that a longer than 8 hour curing time would be beneficial.White Axis Windshield Frame
