Need complete stereo overhaul - help!

I am about as clueless as it gets with the stereo equipment and installing it. AlI know is I like it loud. I need A sub, amp and tower speakers and was wondering what the cheapest site online was for these items? I also need to try  and find a remote mount on the back transom. I haven't been able to really find any of those anywhere. Any recommendations on good products please let me know. I'll probably leave the 4 interior speakers powered off my deck and have one amp control the sub and 4 tower speakers to save on costs.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

These R600-4D are a very good value: http://www.amazon.com/Rockford-Fosgate-Prime-channel-Amplifier/dp/B004T166I6?ie=UTF8&keywords=rockford%20r600-4d&qid=1461680795&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

Class D to save your battery and good power and relatively cheap.  You do not want to power the cabin speakers off the head unit.

What do you want the tower speakers to do? Wake boarding music?, surfing music?, beach music?, just look cool?

What brand head unit do you have? Crutchfield.com has several transom remotes, but they're brand and model specific.

As far as budget goes, a good 5 channel amp will be at least $400, plus you have to buy cables to power it all, not to mention cost of speakers, cans, sub, etc.

I'm doing a budget system in my boat now, and I spent about $1200 so far.

Do you guys usually use a non marine amp and have good luck with it? I think the above amp in marine version on crutchfield is around $450. I'm just getting into the planning and picking out components for a stereo in my RLXI.

IMHO, you do not need "marine" amps as long as they are mounted in a dry location like under the observer dash.  You can get the RF R600-4D (100 W RMS per channel) for about $200 on Amazon.  Best "upper middle class" value out there.

And if you're going to spend $150 for 4 Kicker speakers, spend another $70 to get 4 Polk MM651UM speakers (Amazon).  They have double the power handling.

Get a Class D amp for the sub for sure.

What do you want the tower speakers to do?  If provide sound 70 feet back don't waste your money on regular 6.5 inch 50 watt speakers.  You'll be disappointed.  Lots of threads here by David and MLA explaining why.
