Do I need a new MMDC?

Took the boat out the other day and it was pretty rough. 

All of the guages were working well but suddenly the digital gauges stopped working and the analog gauges froze in place.

Before I go spend money on an MMDC, is there anything I can do to confirm that's my issue?

Also, if I do have to buy an MMDC, where's the best place to purchase one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am having pretty much the same issue on my 2005 vride. Did you have any luck with yours?

Try checking connections and grounds to see if there is a loose or dirty connection

Have we tried pushing the safety lanyard switch in with the key on ? It's just a bit cheaper than an MMDC.

I've had a similar issue, had a bad connection under the dash

It was a bad connection at the breaker panel

I'm having the same problem . Do you remember where behind the breaker panel ?
