Mixing rev 8's and icon 8's?

Could or would you mix a pair of rev 8s and icons on the tower? Would it sound okay?

I'm less concerned with the sound and more concerned with the difference in power handling.

The two midbass drivers have different size voice coils, about a 1/4" difference = difference in power handling.

The Icon8 has a 1" tweeter/voice coil where as the Rev8 has a 1.5 or 1.625 or 1.75" tweeter/voice coil = in any case, that's a big difference in power handling.

So if you set this up correctly, whether by amplifier selection or tuning and set-up, you can protect the Icon8 from damage.

A mix is never an effective way to go for a number of reasons, and I never recommend it, but if you want to take advantage of a good buy, and you work within the above concerns, then you can make it work.
