Best Tower Speakers for G3 Speaker Plates

I am looking for speakers to mount on the side plates for the G3 Tower.  I like the look of the 6"x9" factory speakers but cannot find any options for these.  What are the best speakers that will mount to these plates?  I'm thinking there are only so many options since most are designed to mount on the pipe with clamps.

If you are talking about the shelves that attach at a right angle to the G3 tower, you can probably use about any speaker that you can pull the speaker itself from the can/speaker housing. When I pulled my Alpha cans from the factory G3 shelf the Alpha cans were screwed directly to the shelf. No special bracket, mount or spacers. The Alpha cans were thin enough that when they were screwed on the shelf the flattened out where they were attached and had very little wobble. Obviously not the best solution in most of our minds, but it worked for Malibu. The only down side I could foresee is that my Alpha cans were steel and would flex to fit. A plastic or composite can might not be as forgiving as sheet metal. A special bracket or spacer might be required.

The aluminum billet uprights of the G3 are not drilled or tapped to accept a speaker directly. Minus modification like drilling and tapping threads, you would need an aftermarket adapter plate such as that from Wet Sounds or Earmark Marine or the factory shelf from Malibu. From there, you have a few direct mount pod options.
