Amp seems to be going into protect mode, help needed

The amp running my inboats seems to be going into protect mode. Just cycling through the indicator light cycle with blurbs of audio( 1 second at a time ) when it cycles to green. Any ideas why this might be happening and what'll I should do to troubleshoot/ fix so I can have my tuned Sunday when I ride?

Mine did this when I had a line driver get wet. Could you try an alternative input source?

Well, I tried both the iPods ec2 connector and the viper BT. Both had same results . My eq is located in my dry box and the boat is stored indoors. All worked fine in Oct but after a ride home I seem to be having issues now, this stuff seems to be the norm for me at the beginning of a new season, frustrating. Edited by BamaLSV

What amp and are you actually seeing the protect/trouble light illuminate? Battery voltage? Does it flash random or a pattern? Some amps are processor controlled and use the light to indicate a code to help narrow down the issue.

FYI - Mine actually did this all summer because my Rev10 swivel speaker mounts (with Quick disconnect) actually had the glue inside the speaker pods melt and cause a short. I replaced all of the wires from the amp to the swivel speakers at least once before the end of the season... when I took the speaker pod apart, I found the mess. I doubt you will have this issue, but keep in mind that (almost) anything is possible!

My fix - Well I haven't done it yet, but Wet Sounds said they had a bad batch and sent me all new quick disconnect pieces that won't melt in the hot Minnesota sun lol... Shout out to Wet Sounds - they do have great service! although I hear Exile does as well!

It is a pattern, green , yellow, red repeat. I believe it is a small 4 ch arc that is private labeled by AVC Marine. It has the same look and texture as the arc xdi 5 ch that is running the towers and sub Edited by BamaLSV

So what did you do to fix it?

I haven't fixed it, I just removed the line driver and use the lower output Bluetooth receiver as the source to the amp. It's not as loud, had to turn the gains up. But the amp is just fine
