Which boat is a better boat 16 23LSV or 16VLX?

^^^^^^Second the T22. Great wave that will always be more than I can conquer. Also, if you will have teenagers on the boat that might not care for things as well as you do, the more "bare bones" approach helps you to relax on the boat more. If you don't have any size restrictions on the lake, you really can't go wrong with the LSV though. Incredible wave, lots of cabin space, and one of the best looking boats on the water.

The VLX and LSV are both great boats and from what I have seen/read produce very similar surf and wakeboard wakes. The VLX produces a respectable surf wave and a great wakeboard wake. If I had a large crew of 8+ consistently I would definitely go with the LSV. The extra cabin space will be noticeable. We typically have around 6 avg crew size and the VLX has ample room, I have taken out 10 before and it works but definitely tight. You can never really have too much space and storage. I do like the new VLX gel lines over the LSV. You can also apply your savings on the VLX towards a bigger engine, G4 tower, upgrades, etc... I believe the LSV is the top selling Wakesetter for Malibu (if not entire Malibu/Axis line), so keep that in mind for resale. I do not think the VLX is far behind but definitely not the top selling boat.

I also spent a day in a T22 last season(Teamerickson). Great boat, great wave, very similar surf wave and space to the VLX, this would be my vote if I were looking at the Axis. I also prefer a traditional bow.

I know you were just kidding but there seams to be a very slim cost difference between the VLX and the LSV. My dealer (if he's being 100% honest) says there's only ~$1200 difference after you add the wake view seating, which is std on the LSV. If that's accurate, I asked myself .. why do they sell VLX's? ;)

Some lakes or rivers like our local riding spot have a 22ft length limit.

They also disallow tubing and jet skis, so I'm ok with "just" a VLX. :)

I've got a T22 and will vouch for the axis line all day long. My wave is pretty sweet...are there better waves? Sure...but my wave is better than I could ever be (if that makes sense?). I've got to imagine the a22 will throw out a very nice wave.

And sometimes I like to take the 30k cash I saved by buying an axis and run it as my bow ballast. ;)

Seriously though...jealous of the spot you are in. Can't go wrong.

Plus 1 for this, T22 definitely a capable boat. Wave/Wake is very goood. I would also expect A22 to be very similar.

Personal preference really. I agree with FMAN the LSV would likely be easier to resell, I am not suggesting the a22/T22 would be hard, but 23LSV is best selling wake boat of all time. So huge following. Extra space is nice, but 30k left in your bank is good also.

Brett B - haha .. my comment was not at all serious. I would buy a VLX if it saved me money b/c I'm already beyond what I set out to spend. We also have local lakes with 22ft limits and I would completely understand if fitting in a garage was a priority. My point was that *if* there really is a slim price difference, the LSV will have (very slightly) better resale down the road. I will admit, the VLX gel/vinyl schemes are a little nicer looking than the LSV.

I don't think the gap between AXIS and malibu is 30K (it depends on your deal/dealer). The AXIS margins are smaller and they have less wiggle room. But the wiggle room on a Malibu can be 15-30%+. My price from my dealer was $15k between a T23 and a LSV. Not enough to sway me. The T23 had tower speakers but the LSV standard features way outweigh some meh? tower speakers on the AXIS.

Wow ok, that is really good info on the difference between the auto set and power wedge. The deal is this so far A22 MSRP of 79500 with 350 and 5 year warranty and 3 year free service loaded up for 67, and the VLX MSRP 109020 with G4 and 410 5 year warranty and 5 year free service for 90, obvioulsly plus plus but main difference is is wedge motor. I am seeing 15 vlx online new for high 70's and low 80's. Any thoughts?

I can't believe this one is still available

Even if you had to pay for transport and an extended warranty you would be ahead of the game

Yeah these LSV for around the 80 mark are a bargain.
