You guys in the US are really lucky right now if you can take advantage of the 'sale' prices when buying things from Canada. I import a lot of materials from the US to Canada for my business and we are getting hammered on the exchange.

As far as the relation of $Cdn to oil pricing its actually very related, Majority of Canadian exports are oil/oil related so when the price of oil is down, so is the dollar.
Heres hoping oil starts to make a comeback soon!
