LOL. Seems like a great price on the '98....and I'm with you on the new ones. My dad bought a '96 SSLX for $30k new and still has it.....he about fell over when I told him what new ones were going for when we were shopping last night.

The 98 was a great boat. had a great wake and with the monsoon it was like driving a sports car. And Malibu was still small enough, that the warranty was almost a hand shake. Most of those dealers are gone.

Scary what we are going to be spending 25 years from now. Someone will be on here posting a pic of the boat show prices where you could get a VLX for under 100k and we will think that was a steal.

It is really time for Malibu to consider a new logo. Split sunset logo looked good, back in the 80's.

Mastercraft does a good job keeping logo and merchandise looking fresh. Even the throwback stuff.

In December 94 I bought an Echelon LX when the salesman and dealer were hungry. The dealership had used it some during the year, but paid $19,700 for it.
