You don't need your dealer to do the work. You could contact indmar and see if they have an authorized shop closer. Then for motor issues (if they arise) they could do the warranty, but you'd still need the dealer for say vinyl or electronics issues

As for working the LSA, I push it harder than most would. It is rock solid temp wise. Does not overheat even in Arizona summer! Also LSA will not be working as hard as any other engine as it produces stupid amounts of power. So it runs at a much lower RPM when propped appropriately.

In my 14 I had LS3 it ran wide open almost constantly to push the weight. The 15 with LSA runs 1000 RPM lower. 3300 vs 4300

Shipping may not be as much as you think especially if you factor in what warrant transfer costs add up to be on a used one. The dealer is reputable and may be worth a call.

For those that have had a 23 and a 247, is there that much noticeable difference in cabin/bow room?

I have and it's very noticeable.

The upside is if you take out a bunch of people you have the room. The downside is it's a beast to store and I'm pretty sure resale isn't as strong.

I looked at a 247 once, briefly. I just remember thinking that it was enormous, and there's no way I'd want a boat that big! Plus, having a boat that big generally means you get stuck with extra people! I can see it now, "go with him, he's got plenty of room!!" Ha
