Bought another boat! 98 Sunsetter LX

Was looking around and happened to find this 98 for sale. Went yesterday and looked at it, the pictires on craigslist looked a bit rough. Pulled the boat out of the guys shed and looked at it in the day light, it just needs some TLC and a thorough cleaning! Guy has owned it since new and I got the whole history on the boat. Pretty pumped right now! I now have two boats (for the time being!).

A few things wrong. a few inches of gel coat is missing on the bottom(need to get that looked at), 1 2" ding in the dog house vinyl and 1 mark on the side of the boat about the size of penny where its wore down from a cover strap.

It came with

-Wedge

-Fuel injected monsoon 320

-Stereo with sub

-Fly high pylon with 2 board racks

-1 slalom ski

- wakeboard

- 2 wetsuits

- cover

- 2 extra Acme props

The 94 doesn't have as much room, no wake hull, no wedge. I'm pretty sure I'd be keeping the 98. Although I love the red 94!!

Actually, your Echelon has the EXACT same hull, just different geometry for the different size in beam, length etc. They only added the wake moniker later when the Diamond variant was introduced. The footing and ski wake should look very, very similar. I had a buddy with an Echy that skied my yellow boat (same basic boat as this '98) & when he got in his words were "that's my wake". It was that similar.

That's a great boat though, you'll really like all of the increased storage & room. I've spent a fair amount of time in both boats & this will be a nice upgrade for you. Congratulations.

Thats good to know! The fancy marketing got me on that one!

Just walking around in the boat and removing all the previous owners gear, I could tell I'm going to appreciate the space! Thank you!

It was the plover boat! I'm glad you didn't look at it, you would have bought it!
