Replace a Titan Alpha Tower Speaker on a 2012 VTX

As I understand it I can replace the speaker within the Can.

Can anyone provide some guidance on how to do that through the least expensive route?

It is one of 4 speakers in the setup.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Kenny

1. Watch this video:

2. Buy replacement 6x9 speakers* that a) you like and b) match the amp you're driving them with

3. Assemble components

4. Enjoy!

* This assumes that you have the 6x9 option; if you have a different speaker then select a replacement component that fits your setup

I replaced two of the 4 speakers in mine with Wetsounds 6"x9"'s. They were a simple direct replacement to the MB Quartz from the factory. I'll do the other two when I have some money buring a hole in my back pocket ! The Wetsounds are not cheap....!

I'd personally:

- Pull them and sell of eBay for as much as you can get for them

- Buy a better set of Exile or Wetsounds to replace them

That way, you are getting a proper tower speaker installed instead of trying to improve on an existing setup that isn't that great to being with. You probably won't be out much more money than trying to just upgrade the existing cans.
