Custom waksurfer, input needed!

If they are anything like soulcraft call them and get some recommendations. Example I am a big guy 6'2" 275. So my board is a touch thicker 1.75" vs. 1.5" standard. This gives it a little more float which I need. They will also recommend shape or adjust shape based on your riding style. I love my custom board! I can consistently get further back in the wave than I did with the power tail.

When you say custom, do you mean size or graphics? I just ordered a custom size 4'-4" Neo with these colors.

Custom size and graphics. Doomswell is going to calibrate length and thickness based on my height/ weight. I am looking for input on these boards as I am trying to make a decision which board to buy. Edited by BamaLSV

I am ordering a Doomswell custom. I have narrowed it down to the Nubstep or Drone. Any and ALL input is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

The drone has a unique feeling of sinking into the water when your slashing...yet you are still able to slash pretty hard. I still consider my Soulcraft faster, but I give the overall build quality to Doomswell. The board seems to be glassed heavier, therefore probably a bit slower...something like that.

I can't speak about the drone or nubstep, I have a neo and I love it. The board is pretty fast, easy to control and super light. I don't get any kind of sinking feeling from it. I picked mine up in person and they run a great operation!

Does the board break loose to spin easily?

The Nubstep is very quick and responsive. My friend had the original prototype that got them in business. Brock is very knowledgeable and will help you with what you need in terms of your riding style. I have ridden a custom drone, and it was also very quick and responsive... however, it was totally custom and nothing like the stock.... The Neo is more stable, but not as fast or responsive as the other two. Their boards are extremely light and very poppy. I also have no problems spinning them.... I highly suggest adding the Black Stix fins to them. I ride mine with dual fins instead of quad
