Key vs. Code

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 2015 23 LSV. Unfortunately, I got it just in time for one ride and then we winterized it. One thing I'm unclear about is why you would use the key at all. Seems like the code is easier, but maybe I'm missing some things that aren't possible without the key.

Is there a benefit to one over the other?

What do most folks use?

And you will have an electrical/computer problem with the boat sooner or later....just the nature of the beast will all the electronic gadetry on the later model boats.

Keep the key with you. You'll be glad you did.

My boat uses a key. But twice I've been on someone else's boat when it was cold enough that our fingers couldn't get the screen to respond. Its frustrating.

Hey! I didn't know you live up my way.....lol....
