Looking for help with the next IXFE boat design...

I think the vapor blue as an accent is great. BUT it is darker in real life than on the web site. My VTX is mostly ebony with metallic silver and vapor blue accent. Obviously it is a different layout than current LSV but if you want pics let me know i will email them. I can not figure out how to post the pics for the life of me.

Yeah, it looks better in personal without question. As most of the colors lol. Not sure if it is lighter than the builder because it is BRIGHT in person, but I love it. And, like Ronnie, said I can't believe the amount of compliments on the color. I was iffy on it when I saw pictures of our boat, but when I went to ski it and saw the sun hitting it in the water, I was sold. Instantly.

Black, orange and silver work well together. I've had a vapr blue, white with silver metal flake and loved that combo too.

Based on the turnover your better off staying consistent with timeless colors. It's easy to build a wicked color scheme, but would you find the buyer and sell on terms you'd be happy with?

question. On the last 4-5 boats you sold have any been crew members?

I sold my '12 VLX (not pictured in this thread) to a referral from a prominent TMC'er, but I've never sold one to an actual crew member. It would be kinda cool to "keep it in the family" but it's never worked out for whatever reason.

Okay guys... I went to AWS event last night and got the family real focused on boat stuff again. Here's the result...

Wife says NO to Vapor Blue. Sorry.

Ok fellas, here is the current crop of designs I like.

1) First is what I'd call an "evolutionary" change from last year. It's the same, only I used charcoal instead of silver. And I used flake red in the swoosh instead of Indy red. This is the only one I'm considering that's even remotely similar to the past (i.e. Silver or Charcoal flake on the main hull panel)

2) So what do you do if you don't want flake on the main hull? I move it out to the extremities. Before I started this thread, this was the front runner in my mind. It's really calling my name.

3) Here's the same design without the red. Badass for sure, but is it too bland without the red flake swoosh?

4) This is not one I would have come up with on my own. But I saw it yesterday in malibuboats.com. It's the brochure boat. It looks so good in the photos. Not sure I can get it past the wife. She'll likely say, "Too much red!" EDIT: I just showed her the brochure boat pics and she paused and said, "I'm not totally opposed to it."

5) These next two were inspired by thtrog's vapor blue submission. I liked it so much I just changed to red. The second one adds the red tower.

Thoughts...???

I like the black and charcoal, no red. I also like the thtrog inspired red hull. I like it with the black tower.

Edit: I think reversing #3 would look good too. Charcoal metallic main with black front and rear top deck, which would make it #1 with a black swoosh. I think it would look sweet in silver flake too.
