Voltage Indicator - 14.4V

Recommended Posts

I am "highly confident" that the voltage indicator on my panel display has said 14.4 since i bought my boat.

Except now it is reading 14.1.

Is this an indication of the generator starting to degrade, or the voltage regulator?

neither at 14.1... 14.4 is actually slightly high. you should be fine at the 14.1. that is what ive had since day one and now have 973 hours on our 2013.

My boat runs anywhere from 13-14.5. It depends how much power you are using how much the alternator needs to charge.

And yes 973 hours is impressive on a 13. I thought I was doing good having put 545 on mine since 2013.

Mine fluctuates from 13.8-14.1.

973 hours on a 2013 is crazy cool, do you actually have a job? :-)

I'm just shy of 200 in my 2013..... Wow.... 973 hrs!
