How long would you keep her?

If they look good maybe you get lucky, hopefully.

I got lucky. :) My good stuff didn't even show up yet, so I put another coat of PB on her and they all came off without issue. Got her up on jack stands then ran out of light (didn't want to do the job in the garage). New headers showed up and are really nice looking for the money.

I have the same situation. I'm still towing with a 2000 Chevy Astro van. I have 185k and about 7 Norris lake trips under its belt. Only use for hauling stuff and towing the boat.

Rest of the time I got a 1 mile trip to the lake from dry dock.

I'm going to keep it but think I'm upgrading my wife's suv to something that will tow for our long haul lake trips.

Keep it, it's barely costing you..

Yikes! You know you are probably over the tow rating every time you take that thing to Norris, right? That poor 190HP 4.3L must struggle badly. Braver than I am. The Astros do tow well for what they are (my dad had a Safari that lasted to 320k until my brother totaled it) but a VLX is getting a bit heavy for one.
