Bunk screws came off!

We have a 2013MXZ 24'. Having issues, however our biggest concern now is the trailer. Went to pick boat up and realized all but two screws had come out on one of the bunks and a few loose ones on the other. As we started the repairs we realized the steel pieces that hold the bunks up were bent and we were able to straighten them out by hand. Anyone ever deal with this? Doesn't seem right, as in poorly made. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Unless you through bolt the bunks to the platforms they will continue to get loose and fall out. If you have the chance I would suggest shimming the low points on the platforms where the bunks connect as well. That way the bunks aren't sagging in the middle of the trailer. I ran a string from the front platform to the rear one, measured the difference between those two points and the other platforms and shimmed them accordingly. I had as much as an inch difference on a couple.

Thank you for your reply....question, were your platforms bent up at all? Ours is and we think maybe they need to be built up. It's a heavy boat but it's not like we hauled it with full ballasts.

When I pulled my bunks to recarpet them they looked fine, granted a little un level but not twisted or bent like they were over loaded. Might want to give BM a call about it if they are bent or bending. They wiring is the crappy thing on my trailer. I fight issues with my lights at least once a year and the workmanship looks like a drunken monkey put it together.
