2010 VLX Plug and Play?

I just purchased a 2010 VLX. I bought the Wakemakers kit to add the plug and play. Has anyone done this? Is it difficult? I am not mechanically inclined. Thanks!

Also, I am planning to put 900lb bags on each side. Will I need additional up front to offset?

The piggyback kit should not be very difficult to install. I have seen a step-by-step installation somewhere on here before.

Make sure to order the engine divider panel reinforcers with the 900's (http://www.wakemakers.com/engine-divider-panel-saver.html), and yes you will most likely want some bow weight up front or the bow will be hard to see over.

Congrats on the boat, great choice. How/What do you plan to ski with it? That will determine how you need to weight it.

UPDATE:

I installed the Wakemakers system with my own bags. It wasn't that difficult for someone who is not that handy. Unfortunately, my Sumo 900's didn't have four ports to work with the system. I also have two 450's, one with 4 ports and the other with 3, so I used the 450's.

I filled up the right side with the three ports first, it filled quickly. My son is a goofy foot so he went first. The wave looked great with the wedge down (manual floater) stock ballast center and right, plus the 450. I don't think I will need the 900's in the locker, especially If I get the mission surf wedge of the ronix wedge. I had 7 people in the boat, with the heavier up front. Without the people, I will need more ballast up front.

SO, when I went to the left side with the prescribed four holes, the water from the bag didn't drain into the tank. I tried moving it around, readjusting the hoses, etc.. I opened up one of the ports to let air in and that seemed to help a little. UPDATE Oct 28 2015: I ended up taking off the check valves on the vent house and the bags seem to be emptying much better.

Thoughts

1. The bag with the three ports could only use one drain, so I put the extra drain hose up high, so it acted like a vent, maybe that's why it worked better that the other side, it had two vents?

2. The left bags vent was lower than the bag when filling, it may have filled with water.

3. The drain hoses were not flat, so maybe that is why they didn't drain. However, I did elevate the bag and they were not draining. See #1, maybe the hard tank needs a direct vent?

4. I may try to elevate the bags a little (old cushions, plywood, or something) so that they are a little higher than the hoses.

Has any one tried changing out the stock Malibu drain pumps with faster ones? Does that help?
