Probably a stupid question but why can't a guy not use a Yoga mat as opposed to the more expensive stuff out there?

Yoga mats tend to melt if left in the sun. My wife is an instructor and learned one time that drying on the deck railing isn't a great idea.

My friend installed the ramen noodle (not sure of the name) flooring in his Barefoot 200. He bought it from a Janitorial Supply (safety mat) and paid $150.00 for it. It is very comfortable on the bare feet and is non slip.

That would be interesting to know what kind of mat he used or where he got it. there are times where i've considered trying to come up with some sort of a flooring option to put in the high traffic areas...

We opted for bubble wrap because it entertains the younger kids while we surf

Hmmm, must be the type of mat. I dry mine in the sun all the time. The UV kills the germs too.

Could be, the ones she uses say right on them to not put them out in the sun. Maybe the expensive ones are touchier.

DO NOT DRY IN OR ALLOW PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
