How to pull gas tank?

I want to pull my gas tank on my 98 response. Anyone done this? Any pics or diagram? I have pulled off rear seat and back unscrewed all brackets on floor (drained tank) but can't do it. I am getting water in driver side rear corner and wanna see why. Any help is appreciated. Thanks crew.

Different boat, but I was able to just lift mine out after removing the brackets and the hoses. (and after taking apart the back seat and hatch and trunk to get to the tank)

While you have it out, consider replacing the fuel lines with ethenol resistent rubber. Cheap and easy to do when you have the tank out.

I have a 97 response. Have yet to pull the tank but have experience with water in that corner. It's more than likely from your rub rail. I've seen a few write ups on pulling it off and resealing with silicone

Check the black rub rail on that corner! The rivets come loose and the water will seep through the rivet hole.

@Evan: May not be the same, on my Echelon there were brackets on the side of the tank which may be hard to see. I am trying to remember if there were some on the side that attached to the transom and not just the floor, I do recall the same issue thinking I had them all and there was / were one that was hard to see / reach. I removed the gas tank brackets from the floor/side not from the tank itself. There is probably more fuel in the tank than you expect, when my tank was "drained" it still had 5 gallons in it. If you do have some fuel in the tank if you remove it from the boat, be really cautious as it will be very unstable as the fuel will slosh and tip the tank.

+1 on the rub rail causing the leak. On my old boat it was doing the same so I had my buddy drive and make some really sharp turns so water would hit the rub rail. I would see water squirt through. Put some sealant under the rub rail fixed problem.
