Pending barefoot record

Wow. ..neat! And the water wasn't the best at that!

So footndale where were you in this line up???

Dead center. In the video from the boat, I'm the guy picking up the extra rope.

Getting that many people up is the hard part. Footing is the easy part.

One person didn't make it up?

Correct, he didn't make his dock start.

Our first two attempts were with everyone in the water. Could not do it with everyone on step off skis. Bigger skis no problem. People think it easy, but sometimes fail to realize what works for one person does not work for huge group. Had some big guys in this line too.

Our goal was to get 28 and then go to 30. Some people didn't show so all we had was 28. The record was done on the 5th attempt and we did 6. Doesn't seem like many attempts but it does wear people out. Footing runs were about 25 seconds at 40+ mph.

2 - failed deep up.s

4- barefoot runs.

Lots of cold people. :)

Looks like you where getting pretty hammered by the spray, good on you! Was that rope from a fallen team mate?

Rope was from the 28th guy that didn't make it off the dock.

Spray really wasn't too bad. The 6th run though, I couldn't breath. :) Oxygen is optional.

Congrats! I take it this was the Webfooters team and crew? One less record that the Rock Aqua Jays hold now!

RTS: I believe the previous record was 21 or 22 footers set by the Rock Aqua Jays

I dont want to beat on the boat driving, but the pull was really unbalanced. Granted the driver was pulling DOUBLE the footers that I'm used to skiing with in BF line, but it looked like he was really over-correcting with the trim pedals on the pull. Still have to give him credit. That's a lot of power to control and a lot of skiers.

If you're footing with the wind, that can make all the difference in the ride quality. Congrats again guys!

That is an amazing job..he struggle getting any more than three long line, as we are bumping into each other, but we always try deep ups...

would have been really cool to see an overhead drone video

Great Job!

No, it was Evinrude teams(6 teams represented). I ski with the Aquaskiers in Rapids. There were two Webfooters, though Badgerland connection.

Guinness record was 24 set in May, in Florida. RAJ did 25 on Labor day for NSSA(National Show Ski Association) record. The difference NSSA is only 3 seconds, Guinness is 300 meters or about 17 seconds.

That pull was probably one of the most off balance, but you need to remember, we where angled to the right off the start. Plus the guys on left are being pulled the most first which is a heck of rudder. :) Perfect world, a straight pull from a very long barge, which we didn't have. Barely had enough people to support us as it was. This was suppose to happen Aug 29, but ran out of time. This time a non-closed lake and thankfully no fishermen were there.

Now here is the kicker. The paper work for Guinness was at 28, so now an amendment is filed for 27. They may not accept it. It is up to them. We did get 28 footing, don't know if it was long enough for NSSA though.

Wind was towards us, but very minimal.

Great Job!

Be patient, it's coming and I'm told it is very cool.

footndale, it's a sensational effort with huge logistics and other hurdles to get together all at once and getting 27 of 28 starters up is a decent victory in itself.

Exceptional result!

I thought I could see a drone in the video - look forward to the footage. :)

Nice job fellow cheeseheads!

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Awesome!

I would love to be involved in something like that.

How hard is it to learn to step out of two skis or step off of 1 ski

I learned deep up starts, so I have no successful experience with skis

Spoken like a pro barefooter. :)

Step off one ski is easy, especially since you can 1 foot all day long. Two skis can be fun and not so fun either. Time for more video from you. Then you can do the backwards jump out like Siepel.

We use to start on one ski, years back long lining behind our drag boats, the ski was an old

plank of a ski. We removed all the bindings except for the front boot heal piece. Stepping off was a snap,

one foot on the water a quick lift of the ski foot, Bang ski was gone and your at it.

I couldn't tell in the video if that's how they all release or jumped out of both at the same time.

JB, you'd click one the one ski transfer like nothing!
