Keeping water out of bow

I have a 98 response with open bow and it rides really low especially with any weight in front. Any ideas to keep it dry ? I'm thinking some type of cover.

I think a cover would be a pain. I chili dipped a couple times when I first got my BU but once I became conscious of it I accommodate by adjusting the throttle so the nose is elevated through waves. It's not a deal anymore.

Maybe someone with some glass skills could make a prostar style hard tonneau. Otherwise, the solution is constant vigilance and the application of throttle at the right time. At anchor, not much you can do, my vtx gets a roller over once in a while when people are plowing too close.

Every time I see that picture I always find myself laughing at the guy in the back corner in what appears to be a tuxedo shirt with the sleeves cut off. I can imagine him thinking to himself with his hands on his head, " who would've thought the tuxedo shirt would be the second worst mistake of the day"

Like Footndale said, without a bow cover, if you chili dip the bow, it lands in the bow & flows back. If you chili dip with a bow cover installed, it doesn't always prevent the water from coming over the top, it just makes the water come over the windshield & dump in the driver's lap. I can't tell you how many stereo head unit's we went thru in my 205.

Don't back off the throttle so fast that the bow dips. And if your going into a wave, ease into the throttle to make the bow rise.

Or get a bigger boat.

I have seen this picture before. Does anyone know the story behind it?

I believe that is a member on here named Bretski. There was a thread on here a few years ago that answered that question. I will see if I can find it.

As noted by oldjeep you could make a composite cover that seals or basically converts an OB to a CB configuration. Check out the new Prostar, it has a hard fiberglass cover that seals, pivots at the bow and can be removed to basically convert from a CB to an OB. The downside is the cover is pretty heavy although it is designed to be able to stand on it.
